Highlights:
Selected through a call for proposals for an intervention in a public space in the city of Porto Alegre, Brazil. It was launched during the Design Week POA event as a contribution to the city.
The urban intervention serves as a monument to memory and a landmark for the community.
Focus is situated in the centre of a square that was built in the 1930s with the aim of enhancing its neighbour: the Capitólio cinema.
In this context, the project plays with curved arches to resemble the film reels that the cinema projected for years, whilst also creating a space for sharing new moments.
